Over the past 30 years participatory and community arts has been largely depoliticised and now too often functions as a quick fix for social problems. Rediscovering the Radical takes the position that maginalised individuals don’t need fixing: the system does.

Rediscovering the Radical provides a unique opportunity for artists, activists and academics who are passionate about the need for real change to come together. It is a hot-bed for new thinking and creative experiences. It brings together a diverse mix of passionate change-makers to learn from and share with each other.

In 2016 Rediscovering the Radical hosted its first international conference bringing together over 200 delegates and contributors attending from the UK, Chile, USA, The Netherlands, Canada, Ireland, Brazil, India and Australia.

Now, in 2018 we are preparing for our first International Theatre & Social Change Summer School.
